Code Europe, the largest programming conference in Poland has invited Whipper CTO Romans Bermans to be a guest speaker on Cloud Computing.
Code Europe is taking place from December 5th through 13th across three cities in Poland including, Cracow, Warsaw and Wroclaw. The event promises to attract an array of students, graduates and IT professionals from all over Europe, eager to learn from each other and share thoughts and insights on the future of coding.
Speaking alongside industry giants Google, Netflix, Uber, Samsung, Intel and many others, Romans will be lecturing on a topic titled “Building Serverless Apps with Firebase Cloud Functions” from his experience in building the next global chat application, Whipper, using Google’s Firebase & Cloud Function. The lecture will consist of a live coding session where Romans will show how to build a simple API, without any traditional servers being involved by using Firebase Cloud functions.
We’ve also recently announced our participation in the internal alpha of Google’s Firebase product, which you can read more about here.
If you’re interested in learning about Cloud Computing and Google Firebase from a first-hand point of view, this is a prime opportunity to get involved. You can learn more on how to attend the event yourself by visiting the Code Europe website.
Romans has over 12 years’ experience as a CTO and lead architect, developing apps and web-platforms for the world’s most famous brand at global marketing agencies including Digitas, Dare Digital, Saatchi & Saatchi and Wieden+Kennedy. Most recently, Romans built and launched Echo, a revolutionary prescription management platform in the UK. And today, he’s bringing his extraordinary experience and abilities to Whipper.
Romans has a Masters in Computer Science from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw. When Romans is not spending time with his family, he can be found doing one of two things. Skateboarding, or drinking coffee. We’ve yet to see him pull off doing both at the same time, but we’ll certainly add it to YouTube when he does!Romans Bermans
